Hello everyone,
it's been a while, I know. I've been a bit busy these last month, because my partner and I were working on a new project. We thought about this for about a year. Some of you may know, that we own our own campervan - a wonderful Ford Nugget from 1993. We call it Dumbo. It brought us to north cape, to the atlantic see and to several more wonderful locations. And because we are always looking for new places and like to share our experiences in camping with Jodie with other dog owners and dog friends, we decited to start a blog - it's called Hundterwegs. For now, we are only writing our posts in German. But if you like, you can follow us on facebook and instagram where we show a lot of pictures from our holiday trips.

Join us, give us some love, hints, critiques - whatever you like. And while we are writing about our adventures, I'm trying to catch up on dA a bit and show you some of the pictures I took within the last months. By the way. I thought about starting to upload my stock pictures in dA's stock section again. I think, many people do not find them, when I put them under the photography folder. But  I wondered why I stopped uploading them in stock photos. And deeply in my mind I remembered, that there were new restrictions on the size of the images. Does anyone know, if that's true? (Well, even if it is: I can't imagine dA would delete pictures, that are too small. Or do they? hmm Nevertheless - last but not least as always a little feature for wonderful art. Give these pictures and their owners some favs, a watch and some love  They deserve it! :aww:

Hello dear dA people,

just let me start with a question, before I show you some of my favourite pictures I collected in the last weeks. Is there anyone out there who has problems with the notification area? Sometimes, I cannot click to see a single photo or who liked my pictures. Just the "Select All"-button on the bottom of the page works. It's really annoying - I can't even give you your Llamas back :( Is there a solution for this kind of problem? Please, let me know, if you know an answer. And as I promised: The feature! Give those wonderful photographers love, likes and a watch

Hello everyone - and first of all: sorry for every international follower. I'll do a feature-entry soon, but today this is for my German follower.

Wow, it's August. Haven't been here for a while - sorry for that. I've been very busy for the last month. My partner and I bought a house (hurray! :happybounce: ) and in addition to that, we spent three wonderful weeks in beautiful Norway, which was very exciting. Jodie went with us and together we went up to the North Cape. What a journey, I hope I can finish working on the pictures soon, so I can show you some photos of this wonderful roadtrip Nod  When coming back, we moved directly into our new home. I can tell you: Don't think you have just a few things when you live into a small flat. It is so much more than you ever expected. Well, let me say the last two weeks where... exciting. There is still much to do: It's an old, but wonderful house with a very big garden. Jodie loves it, there is so much space where she can play und run around now. But as I mentioned: There is a lot of work and we need to sort things and have to unpack all the boxes.

If there is some time left, I'll answer to all your lovely comments and notes, soon. Until then: be patient, there will be pictures of Jodie, wolves, Norway and whatever you like to see, soon. I hope you had a great summer til now. Hug And as always: Some features in the end ^.^

Happy Birthday, dA!

Journal Entry: Sun Aug 9, 2015, 5:58 AM
I'm not that good in answering questionaires, but well... 15 years, let's give it a try =)

How long have you been on DeviantArt?'
I haven't counted. I startet a first try with my second account Wincey a few years ago, but stopped to upload pictures because of artthieves and stuff. But I gave it another try when we startet Dawnthieves. So, let's say about three years.

What does your username mean?

Tiefenschaerfe (or better Schaerfentiefe, but that wasn't free) is the German word for depth of field.

Describe yourself in three words.
Animal loving photographer!

Are you left or right handed?
Right.

What was your first deviation?
Uh, with Wincey it was a very cute picture of Nantan in Springe, that I've calles Morning Gym. And here it was - surprise! - not a picture of an animal, but it was taken in a zoo :D

Travelling by Tiefenschaerfe Morning Gym by Wincey

What is your favourite type of art to create?
Photos, no doubt. It's the only thing I'm good in concerning art ^^;

If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?

Ouh, drawing! There are so many roleplay scenes and pictures in my mind I liked to draw - just like wolfenwinter or Khalliys do it.

What was your first favourite?
These to very beautiful pictures. Strawberrys, jogurth and a dingo. What a mixture :D

Yogurt with berries by LilyBrilliant Dingo - Pensive by ex-arte

What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Photos - animals are the main object I'm looking for, but I also love to see more and more food and people photography.

Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?

I have to admit: There is none. There are so many wonderful photographers and artists here. All the Dawnthieves photographers show quiete beautiful pictures. And of course there are some more with wolf-pictures, dog-pictures and other stuff. Sadly, some of my favourites are not active any more. But to give you an idea: Have a look at all these wonderful artists, give them love, favs and a watch! (And don't be sad if you are not one of those who I mention. Maybe I love your picutres, too - and only forgot to include your name.)

If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Anyone who could borrow me a 300 or 400mm F2.8 nikkor lens  :D ;P  Apart from that: Anyone, who loves wolves, dogs, photography and all these things together ^.^

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Oh, what a difficult question. I guess every photographer I like (list above :)) impacts my life. I love to create better pictures, improve my skills and therefor look closely on the things other people do. If I see a great picture, I love to gain the skills to create something, that might be as beautiful.

What are your preferred tools to create art?
Well, a camera. Although I have to admit, that none of my cameras is really mine. The Nikon D7000 was a christmas-gift for my partner, I bought from the money I saved six months (!) from an internship. In fact, today I'm using it more often than he does, but he is still the better photographer :) And the Nikon D800 is a camera he uses while work, but we are allowed to borrow it for taking zoo-photos.

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?

There is not one special place. Sometimes, I get an idea for a picture while walking through nature or when I see a beautiful location. Sometimes, I get an idea while looking to other peoples artwork, sometimes when baking, when playing with my dog (and she's making a beautiful or funny face), when listening to music, while reading roleplay texts and imagine a special sitiuation in my mind and and and. There are so many situations, the only important thing is not to force it and just let it happen.

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?

Again: There isn't one. The best memories are those of kind words, watches, DDs, every comment, critique, every lovely note - so the most important thing is feedback and I'm happy about every little piece of feedback I get. Thank you for that!

Second DD

Ahahaha, I never ever ever ever thought I would get a DD for food photography. But well, here we go. My second DD, can't believe it :D

Got it! by Tiefenschaerfe

I'm really... amazed and I can't believe it. A DD! :happybounce:  This is so awesome and great! Thank you so so much Laemiri for the suggestion and thank you so much Anoya for featuring. And of course thank you so much everyone else who also suggested one of my photos, I appreciate that very very much and I'm very happy about every little fav and comment. You made my day! Everyone: feel hugged!

Edit: So many comments. Please be patient with me, I try to answer everything as soon as possible!

A little 'thank you'

Journal Entry: Mon Apr 7, 2014, 1:04 PM
Aww, a free premium membership day. It's a bit useless, because all the wonderful functions will also be there for one day - but it's great for a new journal and some words with loads of love for you. I want to thank you for all your lovely comments, your favs, your watches (I'm close to 500 watchers and that's just amazing!) and your support. Thank you! I'm very happy with dA these days and with me and my photography (although there is not much time left to really take pictures) - and this is in general because I got a lovely request for writing something for a blog and - and this is also very very important to me: I sold my first picture ever. Break. And again:

I sold one of my pictures. :squee:

It's not much money and it's just one, but for me this is a feeling like beeing in heaven, that someone loves my picture so much, he or she likes to have it at home, or give it away as a present or whatever. I'm so happy, thank you unknown shopper! You made my day! I'm planning to sell more pictures, also a few of my older ones (like this. You all loved that very much. I like to edit it again, optimize it and I hope the zoo is going to give me the permission to sell it. In Germany they are all a bit crazy about that selling-rights-thing. Makes me a bit confused sometimes, because it's advertise for their park, yeah, but well... I have to live with it and asking is not that expensive :D Keep your fingers crossed for me!

About the usage of my pictures

Journal Entry: Sun Feb 3, 2013, 4:26 AM

Hey guys,

because there was some trouble in the past about using my pictures. You know the story from woxys about this girl that posted pictures on facebook without giving credits? She used one of mine, too. I knew she did before all the trouble came up, but she was very rude and unfriendly when I asked her politely to give a credit. Never had such an experiance before. She made me feel like a criminal, although she used my picture :D Well, I thought, I like to give you some hints what is allowed and what not. If you are not sure after reading this, whether you are allowed to use my picture or not, please send me a note. I'm not unfriendly, rude or arrogant and a polite question and a credit are always a reason to allow things. :aww:

You are allowed to use my pictures, if...
... you give a credit. That means: Link back to my dA-Page, please. That means: You can post my pictures on facebook or your own blogs, if you give a credit and link back and follow the other rules.
... you like to use it for a school project.
... you like to use it as a reference for you own drawing.
... you show me, what you have done with my work. (I really like to know! :))

You are not allowed to...
... remove the copyright without permission.
... claim the pictures as yours.
... use them without giving a credit.
... sell them as prints or use them in another commercial way.
... use it in an inappropriate context, that means: no illegal, no racism, no anti-animal, discriminating or political context.

Only for wolf-pictures! You are allowed to use my work if you...
... like to use my work for a photomanipulation!
... want to use my pictures as Avatar for a roleplay board or something similar.

Please ask, if you...
... like to do other things that are not listed in this journal.

These rules are very simple and I guess fair due to the fact that I spend much money and time to take my pictures. So please please please: Follow them or ask, if you are not sure whether you are allowed to use them or not. I do not bite :D Thank you!

Hey everybody,
I just wanted to thank you for all the support and favs and watches and comments and all you lovely and kind words I got for my last photo. Thank you so much, I appreciate this so so much! You people are wonderful! I'll answer all your comments the next days, it's just too much to do it on one day. That's so amazing :aww: Thank you!
